The ‘other’ bulls
Many have pointed out in recent weeks the great strides made by Racing Bulls. The Faenza team, after struggling in some of the early events of the year, has in fact strung together a series of splendid results, placing two drivers in the points in six of the last seven races and climbing to fifth place alone in the Constructors’ Championship, as the ‘first of the others’ behind the four top teams of the Circus.

But, if that were not enough, now Racing Bulls has decided to become a protagonist also in the pits. The junior team of the Red Bull family is in fact third, behind Mercedes and Ferrari, in the ranking compiled every year by F1 for the best pit stops of the season. The mechanics of the Italian team in this particular ranking are also enjoying the satisfaction of being ahead of their Red Bull colleagues. The derby between bulls currently sees Racing Bulls at 177 points and Red Bull at 134, with Mercedes first at 233 and Ferrari chasing at 183.

In Budapest, however, the Racing Bulls mechanics gave themselves a special holiday gift, achieving the fastest pit stop of the entire 2026 season so far. The tire change carried out on lap 20 on Arvid Lindblad’s car was completed in 1.99 seconds. By one hundredth of a second, the seasonal record held by the Ferrari crew, capable of changing the tires on Lewis Hamilton’s car in exactly two seconds at the Japanese GP, was beaten. A special satisfaction for a team that is still talked about too little but probably deserves the revelation team award for this first half of 2026. On track, but also in the pit lane.
