F1, it’s a golden moment
In its mid-season report, Formula 1 has laid out a series of numbers that justify the ongoing optimism about the period of great popularity the category is experiencing. And it was not so obvious to have such positive indicators after a regulatory revolution that generated several doubts among fans more attached to the technical aspects of F1.
There is undeniably a large number of fans who continue to follow with enthusiasm what happens, on track and from home, a sign that the target audience is really changing more and more.

On-site audience data
– 11 consecutive sold outs
– 3.7 million spectators over the weekend (+6% compared to 2025)
– 6 new attendance records (Australia 484 thousand, Canada 360 thousand, Austria 320 thousand, Silverstone 564 thousand, Belgium 400 thousand, Hungary 310 thousand).
F1 TV data
– In Brazil, TV viewership has quintupled compared to 2025
– In Italy, TV viewers have increased by 27% (up to Silverstone) compared to 2025
– In China, the local GP TV audience has more than doubled compared to 2025
– Monaco reached almost 80 million viewers globally, a double-digit growth compared to 2025.
Social data
– 125 million followers on social media, +19% year-on-year
– +12% social media impressions year-on-year
– +54% video views year-on-year (thanks to the boost from TikTok)
– 70 million views of the LEGO race at Silverstone
– Over 7 million hours of extended video content views on F1.com and the F1 app.

Fan reaction
The F1 Fan Voice platform hosts 60 thousand fans, called to express their appreciation throughout the year. Based on the data collected:
– 66% rated the 2026 races as good or excellent (in 2025 it was 60%).
– The Canadian GP received 84% good or excellent reviews, Barcelona 76%, Austria 72%, Miami 70%.
F1 audience geography
– The global base of Formula 1 fans stands at over 830 million people (+64% compared to 2018).
– 42% of the audience is female, women make up 75% of new fans
– 43% of the fan base is under 35 years old.
Hospitality and partnerships
– Over 60 thousand spectators followed the races in the F1 hospitality area (+42% in Monaco, +22% in Silverstone)
– In 2026, F1 welcomed among its partners Standard Chartered (wealth management), Marsh (insurance broker), FanDuel and Betway (betting agencies), Flexjet (private jets), Fever (tickets) and extended agreements with Pirelli (F1 tires), Allwyn (betting) and Salesforce (cloud computing).
