F1 Financial Results: -38% in the quarter and -15% in the half-year due to the war in the Middle East

The F1 accounts

With four fewer races held in the three months ending last June 30, 2026, F1 revenues decreased by 38% – reaching 764 million dollars – compared to last year.
A declining figure that is also reflected on a half-year basis over the same period in 2025, with three fewer races held. Revenues have in fact overall decreased by 15% – amounting to 1.3 billion dollars.

Why the negative sign?

Global uncertainties, primarily with the conflict in the Middle East, have significantly impacted the financial results of the F1 quarter and half-year with the postponement of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabia GPs. In the second quarter of 2026, five races were held, compared to nine in the second quarter of 2025. From the beginning of the year until the second quarter of 2026, 8 races were held, against 11 in 2025

The MotoGP accounts

On a quarterly basis – with the same number of races (7) held – MotoGP recorded a -2% on the revenue front, reaching 170 million dollars compared to last year.
A figure that reverses the sign on a half-year basis compared to the same period in 2025 (10 races for both segments), settling at a reassuring +6% and 264 million dollars in revenues.
