Lego also pays tribute to the F1 legend
The weekend of the 2026 Italian GP in Monza will see Lego at the forefront with several events dedicated to the large crowd of F1 (and brick) enthusiasts present among the lanes of the Autodrome but also in the center of the Brianza city and in the heart of Milan. The highlight can only be the installation planned in the lounge of the Arco della Pace where the Danish company invites fans to the creation of a collective construction work to pay tribute to Michael Schumacher and the 30 years since his arrival at Ferrari (dated, indeed, 1996 and which the Prancing Horse also celebrates with a special livery). Thus Piazza Sempione transforms from Thursday, September 3 to Sunday, September 6 into a large open-air play area to compose together with the creator Riccardo Zangelmi a huge mosaic of 3×1.80 meters and about 85,000 bricks dedicated to the recently released Lego Icons Ferrari F2004 set and Michael Schumacher.

The creation of the work will be accompanied by a video and light show always dedicated to the Kaiser and the F2004, one of his most representative and dominant Formula 1 cars, as well as the one of the seventh and last World Championship title. To inaugurate the area there will then be an event, free and open to all between enthusiasts and simple curious people, scheduled for Thursday, September 3 at 7:30 pm, always at the Arco della Pace in Milan, with the famous DJ Linus accompanied by the Sky journalist, Carlo Vanzini. The play area will be open from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, while from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, every half hour, the video and light show dedicated to Schumi will be repeated.
Other activities between the Monza Autodrome and FuoriGP
As in previous seasons, Lego is also present inside the National Autodrome with a dedicated space inside the Fan Zone: the Home of Lego F1 will this year be a multi-stage path, with the exhibition of the front wing and the steering wheel of one of the brick cars featured in the unforgettable Miami GP 2025 drivers’ parade, but also with the possibility to enter inside two giant Lego helmets and the chance to customize the F1 team Minifigure.

In the center of Monza, instead, at the Palazzo dell’Arengario in Piazza Roma involved in the FuoriGP events, Lego sets up two different areas – open Thursday, September 3 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 – for enthusiasts of all ages. In this location there will be an exhibition of the Lego Editions sets with the helmets of the two Ferrari F1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, but also with game tables full of bricks to ensure the fun of tomorrow’s fans.
