F1, Dutch GP: live free practice sessions
Good morning dear readers of FormulaPassion.it and welcome back to the live written coverage of the free practice session of the Dutch GP, the 12th round of the 2026 F1 World Championship.

This is the fifth Sprint event, so the session starting at 12:30 will be the only free practice session of the weekend: teams will be forced to find the ideal setup right away to face the Zandvoort weekend. And with the risk of rain, present both today and tomorrow, it will not be an easy task.
Ferrari arrives at Zandvoort with a new floor designed for high downforce tracks, while McLaren will present some of the updates that were “spread” from the Hungaroring to Baku. Mercedes, essentially, remains the same, to the point that Kimi Antonelli has indicated the papaya as the favorites for this weekend.

Finally, keep an eye on Aston Martin, which after the promising updates in Hungary will also debut the power unit developed with ADUO. The engine, already tested in a filming day, gives hope to Honda after the embarrassment at the start of the season.
