Toyota Dominance
As has happened in almost all the rallies held in this first half of the championship, Toyota closed its home round as the absolute dominator. A victory with a sweeter taste, precisely because it was achieved in front of its home crowd, allowing the team to further extend its lead over Hyundai ahead of the next Rally of Greece. From there until the end of the championship, the WRC will only take place on gravel stages, with Elfyn Evans entering as the championship leader with a 20-point advantage over Takamoto Katsuta. Also joining the short list of drivers with triple-digit points is Oliver Solberg, who was involved in a duel with Evans for the win until SS10, a stage during which the Swede made a mistake that forced him out. However, #99 gave his best on Super Sunday, earning 5 extra points and reducing the gap to Evans to 49 points.
