Di Giannantonio seeks confirmation at Austin
The Goiânia weekend showed Fabio Di Giannantonio in excellent form, capable of securing the second pole position and the seventh podium of his career. The Roman, after “throwing away” the Sprint victory due to an error that favored Marc Marquez, returned the favor to the world champion, outsmarting him in the GP and becoming the first among the Ducatists in the drivers’ standings.

Di Giannantonio and Marquez, who also joked during the Austin press conference, know they have a very fast Aprilia ahead of them. It will be at COTA too, and for Diggia repeating the 2025 podium will be very complex. But not impossible.
Di Giannantonio’s words
“The track is fantastic, and so is the place. The first sector is really beautiful and characteristic, so different from every other circuit on the calendar. Every year I am impressed by this track, I want to enjoy the weekend even though it will be mentally very demanding to always be focused on every corner, especially on the qualifying lap“, this was his comment at the press conference. “I had a lot of fun with Marc last weekend, our battles were very clean; they were certainly aggressive, but that’s normal, we’re at the limit and it’s not easy to control every aspect of the bike. I think in the last weekend we showed the perfect way to express motorsport“.
The Roman is not at 100% physically due to the aftermath of a crash in the Goiânia warm-up: “Monday was the worst day with shoulder pain, I somewhat underestimated the slide but I don’t want to make excuses. I will do my best to be 100% prepared, I certainly have the people around me who will give me a hand: it’s a small problem, but mentally we are completely focused and so everything will be fine“.
