Fear again, this time in Curve 1
This Sunday in Barcelona really seems cursed. At the restart after the red flag caused by the terrible crash involving Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Fabio Di Giannantonio, there was in fact another very bad accident, this time in curve 1. The unfortunate protagonists this time were Johann Zarco, Luca Marini, and Francesco Bagnaia. The worst off this time was the Frenchman, who was also the rider who – after a bad start – caused the accident. Zarco, in fact, with his Honda from the LCR team, missed the first braking and found himself trapped, hitting Marini full on. The two then fell like dominoes against the innocent Bagnaia.

Fear for Zarco
Marini and Bagnaia in this case got up immediately and in good condition, while Zarco remained still in the gravel. The problem for the #5 Frenchman concerns a leg that was trapped in the tangle of bikes and particularly under the Ducati. As in the case of Alex Marquez earlier, no images of the rider were provided by the international broadcast. The only communication concerned the fact that Zarco was conscious. The LCR team rider was then loaded into an ambulance and taken away amid the encouraging applause of the crowd. Zarco, moreover, had already suffered a blow to his foot in the first accident due to debris from Alex Marquez’s bike.
