Cupra has updated the Born with a bolder look and technical updates aimed at improving comfort, handling, and range. The exterior design is now aligned with the Leon, Formentor, and Tavascan model family, with headlights featuring polygonal graphics, a “shark nose” front fascia, and a rear light bar that accentuates its road presence. The alloy wheel range, on the other hand, offers new 19″ and 20″ sizes with wider tires, now 235 mm compared to the previous 215 mm. A modification that the Spanish manufacturer claims is useful for increasing the stability and driving precision of its electric car.
Cupra Born is renewed
Inside, the Born receives significant updates to usability and perceived quality. The steering wheel has been redesigned, replacing touch controls with classic physical buttons, while the digital instrument cluster grows from 5.3″ to 10.25″. The large 12.9″ infotainment touchscreen remains, retaining the touch-sensitive sliding climate controls.
Materials have also been updated, from suede-covered door panels to soft plastic on the upper part of the front doors. Added to this is a dedicated air vent for rear passengers. A digital key via app also debuts, allowing the car to be opened and started with a smartphone.

Powertrain range
The powertrain range has also been revised with a clear focus on range. The base model retains the 58 kWh battery but sees the rear motor drop to around 185 hp; despite this, its range goes from 423 km to 450 km while the maximum charging speed rises from 120 kW to 135 kW. The Long Range variant retains the 79 kWh battery pack and the 230 hp motor, although it improves the range from 555 km to 600 km and brings the maximum charge to 185 kW. The sporty Born VZ version uses the same 79 kWh battery but exceeds 320 hp. Both the 79 kWh and VZ versions introduce the One Pedal driving mode with enhanced regenerative braking and the launch control function.
