Bulega and Ducati always leaders
The Aruba.it – Ducati team comes from a last Round in Portugal that was nothing short of perfect for the official Borgo Panigale team, with the two riders finishing in the first two positions of the final standings from Superpole to Race 2. A quartet that, added to the one previously achieved by Nicolò Bulega at Phillip Island, has put the Emiliano at the top of the world championship with a significant lead over the chasers, which could increase further if #11 manages to achieve another hat-trick in the race this weekend on the Dutch circuit of Assen.

Bad luck in 2025
A track where Bulega actually has not entirely positive sporting memories dating back to last season, when he lost the chance to get two important wins in the Superpole Race and Race 2 due to two technical problems. Now, in the ‘Cathedral of speed’, the world championship leader can make up for it with a third consecutive hat-trick that would allow him to reach 13 consecutive career wins, matching the absolute record of Toprak Razgatlioglu: “I can’t hide that it’s a really positive start to the season – he commented – the results are significant, but the most important thing is the feeling I had with my Ducati Panigale V4R. The standings? We are only at the third round, so it makes little sense to look at the numbers. Last year we had bad luck, but we were still fast. We have to start again from this.”

Less convincing debut in Ducati by Lecuona in Australia, with the Spaniard however managing to recover in Portugal and now preparing for one of the most historic Rounds of the Superbike: “I really like this track, where in the past I have also achieved good results. The important thing, however, is to keep your feet on the ground. The fact that I got second place 3 times in Portimão does not change our plan: to grow session after session, increasing the feeling with the bike. So I don’t set any goal for Assen, other than to further improve our performance.”
