Bezzecchi restarts from Mugello
After a not very exciting weekend in Barcelona in terms of performance, Marco Bezzecchi starts again from the home GP. Although “his” track is Misano (13 km from Rimini), Mugello will also cheer for Bez, who at Montmeló managed to limit the damage and earn very precious points in the World Championship perspective. At Mugello the Romagna rider will try again to extend his lead over Jorge Martin, but he is aware that it will not be easy to gain on the Spaniard, especially if he does not make progress compared to two weeks ago.
Bezzecchi’s words
“Winning would be very nice, obviously, it is a dream for every rider to triumph in their home GP, let’s see if it will happen on Sunday. But for now it is only Thursday, first of all we have to start the weekend in the best possible way tomorrow, let’s try to focus one day at a time“, these were his words at the press conference. “Surely the atmosphere is fantastic, first of all the track is beautiful and this already makes everything a bit better. Obviously, for us the crowd is super loud, we feel the extra push it gives us. It is a very special GP for us and we have time to enjoy it a lot together with the fans, but especially to enjoy the race“.
For the World Championship leader, the +15 on Martin does not mean anything yet: “For the title, honestly, I think it is too early. I believe the championship is extremely long: with two races every weekend, the amount of points you can lose or gain is always very high. It is nice that at the moment the fight is this, but on my part I do not want to think too much about all this, my goal is to try to focus on myself. If then at mid-season or later the situation is this, we can talk about it“.

In the fight for the championship, then, Marc Marquez must also be counted, who will return this weekend: “I think he will be extremely competitive, if he returns it means he is ready. Marc is very smart, so he knows what to do; beyond that, I think you can never exclude the reigning world champion from the title fight“.
