MotoGP, Bezzecchi heading to Balaton Park
With the splendid victory at Mugello, Marco Bezzecchi extended his lead in the standings over Jorge Martin, going +17 ahead of his teammate. Not only the cold numbers, but also the warmth of Sunday’s crowd (who welcomed him like a king after the checkered flag) can give him confidence: the rider from Romagna is now even more aware that he has Italian support in this exciting championship fight, which doesn’t exclude “third parties”.

In the press conference at Balaton Park, the eighth round of the MotoGP World Championship, the Bez still uses caution in championship discussions.
Bezzecchi’s words
“Mugello was truly a beautiful weekend, the race was really fantastic, we worked hard to try and get a good result in Italy and fortunately we succeeded. I’m very happy with how things went there. I’ve probably watched the race about ten times. I didn’t really remember much, most of what I went through I don’t remember, due to the adrenaline I had to rewatch everything from the beginning to remember what happened and also to understand what I could have done better, it was really nice. But we are here now and we have to get back to work.”
“Balaton? It’s definitely a very different track, I appreciate it. It’s peculiar, it’s a very tight, very slow stop-and-go circuit, but there’s a very fast part in sector 2. It’s a track I liked last year, I had a good battle with Marc and also with Pedro. So we’ll try to have a good weekend here too. This and Mugello are totally different tracks, so we need to change our approach to the corners a bit, adapt our style to the tracks we find. But in the end, it’s a nice track in my opinion, it’s fun to ride and the most important thing is to try to start well tomorrow with Practice and once the weekend progresses, try to be strong every day.”
