Bezzecchi towards Le Mans
Also at Le Mans Marco Bezzecchi arrives as the World Championship leader. “It is a very beautiful track, which seems easier than it is: it is a very tough circuit, there are many details that make the difference. There are some nice braking points, so you have to try to be good on the brakes, especially. The weather changes often, it is chilly and you need to adapt quickly“, this is his comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “The balance for Le Mans? Honestly, I don’t think about it. I try to focus more on myself, on my box, on my team and on trying to do the best job possible, then others will do the same“.
One aspect to work on, for example, is the Sprint, the only weakness of the Aprilia-Bezzecchi package so far: the Romagna rider has earned only six of his 101 points from the short races due to three crashes in Buriram, Austin and Jerez.

“I simply made more mistakes in the Sprints“, he explained. “In Thailand and Austin there were two slides, the one in Jerez is definitely another mistake, although a bit different. In any case, it remains a mistake, because at the moment I fell after the flag-to-flag I was eighth, so I would have brought home some points. I don’t know if I could have finished eighth, maybe they could have overtaken me or I could have overtaken someone. In any case I made mistakes several times, we need to try to fix this aspect“.
