Citroen has announced in recent weeks important updates to the engines of several models, confirming its strategy of offering an efficient and modular range of powertrains. With a clear stated objective: to offer customers the possibility to choose the energy best suited to their needs and budget, without sacrificing peace of mind and driving pleasure. The changes also aim at optimizing fuel consumption and reducing emissions.

Citroen updates several engines
For private customers, the changes affect the new C5 Aircross SUV, Berlingo and SpaceTourer, models designed for families and leisure enthusiasts, segments where practicality, comfort and range are key factors for long journeys. The New C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid SUV stands out for a system power reaching 225 hp, a range in 100% electric mode of up to 113 km, over 1.100 km of total range and a towing capacity of up to 1.550 kg. Berlingo, a pioneer in the leisure vehicle category, is instead expanding the range with the return of the 100 hp BlueHDi Diesel engine with manual transmission, alongside the electric offering of the e-Berlingo with 340 km of range in the WLTP combined cycle.

News for many models
Models oriented towards professional use also receive updates: SpaceTourer and Jumpy adopt the new 2.2-liter Diesel engine, designed to offer more torque and more flexible driving, while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. “These updates reflect the Brand’s ambition to offer customers flexibility and efficient engines, suited to their needs”, writes Citroen.
