Pecco’s recipe to exploit Ducati
Francesco Bagnaia in the Spanish GP at Jerez had to retire while he was in the back of the pack due to an unknown front issue related to the braking system.
The Ducati rider then took part in a very important test day for Ducati because some novelties were tested in an attempt to respond to Aprilia’s big step forward in terms of performance.
“At this moment we have two aspects to work on which are aerodynamic load in fast corners and braking well to have a good line entering the corner – Bagnaia said to the microphones of Sky Sport MotoGP – and especially regarding the load we found something, here in all the fast corners we suffered a lot compared to Aprilia”.
“We are not exploiting the package 100% yet – Pecco added – we need to start going a bit outside the box electronically because I think we are going a bit in circles. Also, we can study what Alex Marquez and the Gresini team have done because it is very positive that a sensitive rider like Alex found something that allowed him to dominate the weekend”.
