“Unfortunately, here at Silverstone, I struggled all weekend – said Bagnaia – I knew that, in the race, I wouldn’t be able to compete with the leaders, so I tried to stay calm at the start, aiming to improve lap after lap. I was managing it, as I started to lap in the 59-second range, without destroying the rear tire, until the crash. I did not expect to lose the front exiting the corner.
