Rossi harsh words towards the Ducati Lenovo team
After the Barcelona Sprint race, Valentino Rossi was a guest on Sky Italia and gave his point of view on the current MotoGP situation. There was no shortage of a question about Pecco Bagnaia, the most successful rider to come out of his Academy, who is going through a complicated moment – in terms of results – with Ducati.
To defend Bagnaia, Rossi did not hold back criticism towards Ducati (quite surprisingly, since the Borgo Panigale factory supplies bikes to his VR46 team…): “I would like Ducati to commit as much as Pecco does to try to get back to the front. I see that the spirits after what happened last year have cooled down a lot“.

Bagnaia defends the Ducati team
Valentino Rossi’s words echoed all the way to the Montmelò paddock, so much so that Pecco Bagnaia was asked a direct question about his mentor’s words – reported by Motorsport.
Bagnaia’s response left no room for doubt and shut down any controversy: “Vale’s comment is just a supposition. He sees what I do at home, but he doesn’t see what they do at Ducati. We are all working, but obviously after last year, which was very difficult, they are working to try to find balance again. It’s not easy, because with this bike we haven’t yet found a basic setup, unlike Fabio Di Giannantonio. So we are working in all directions to achieve it. We are making small steps, maybe a bit late, but we are getting there. In any case, I feel Ducati’s commitment behind me“.
