The Aston Martin driver failed to avoid elimination in Q1 and then made very strong statements linked to what Max Verstappen recently said about the 2026 F1 cars being too simple and flattening the values on the track, not fully bringing out the drivers’ talent.
“The Monumental can be done fully even by my press officer because we don’t use energy at that point to preserve it for the rest of the lap – said Alonso – in F1 courage should be rewarded, if my press officer is faster than me at that point, okay, if instead I have more guts than him then I will also be faster.
