Diggia: “I respect him a lot”
Di Giannantonio also wanted to express his opinion not only on what happened, but also on his relationship with Acosta: “From my point of view, it was simply a great maneuver, I think, for the last lap, at the last corner, and also for the championship at this moment – he added – I just tried to see if he would cut me off. That’s where the whole story started… It’s fun, it’s racing. I enjoy this kind of thing. We haven’t had the chance to talk, but I don’t think it’s necessary, you know. In any case, I’m here, no problem. I respect him a lot as a rider, he has done great things since he entered MotoGP, but also before in Moto2 and Moto3, so he is definitely a great rider. He is super talented, but to me he is like any other. It’s something I would do again to try to keep the position.”
