Lepas L8 lands in Europe with the first major international expedition: almost 1,500 units have left the port of Wuhu bound for Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia and Romania. It is a key step for the expansion of Chery Group’s new NEV brand, designed for “elegant” mobility and already confirmed by its European and international visibility milestones: its debut at Milan Design Week and the presentation of the NEV strategy at the Beijing Auto Show 2026.

Lepas L8 lands in Europe
The initiative is part of the launch of LEPAS’s Year of Delivery, with large-scale deliveries in the Old Continent. The new L8 is a five-seater plug-in hybrid SUV, developed on the Intelligent LEX Platform, which combines a recognizable stylistic identity thanks to the Leopard Aesthetics language with a propulsion system designed to offer efficiency and performance integrated into the company’s “Super Hybrid” concept.
Two trim levels for Italy
From a technical point of view, the PHEV version combines the 1.5 TGDi Miller cycle petrol engine with electric propulsion, for a total power of 279 HP (205 kW) and 365 Nm of torque. The 18.4 kWh LFP battery supports a range of up to 90 km in 100% electric mode in the WLTP combined cycle, which reaches 123 km in urban cycle. The declared data indicate combined consumption of 2.2 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 53 g/km. In Italy, it will arrive in two trim levels, Essence and Elegance, respectively with list prices from 41,700 and 44,700 euros on the road.
