The February market closes with a growth of 14% compared to the same period last year, consolidating and improving the good start recorded in January (+6,2%). The expansion is uneven in composition: all channels show progress, but it is the private channel that recorded the most significant rebound, returning to growth of 9,3%. The market continues to reward hybrid powertrains, with the full hybrid segment showing constant and perceptible growth. In this context, Toyota registered 11.183 units in February alone, in line with the volumes of the same month in 2025, achieving an overall market share of 7,1%.
Toyota results in February
In the private channel, the share rises to 9,4%, with an increase of 1,2 points compared to February 2025. These results consolidate the brand’s position as import leader and strengthen its leadership in the full hybrid market, where Toyota holds a share of 42,2%. The full hybrid segment represented 15,1% of total sales in February, an increase of about 3 points over the previous year, and continues to be dominated by the Japanese manufacturer, which occupies the top three spots in the ranking of best-selling models.
Yaris and Aygo X in the spotlight
On the model front, in February as well, the Toyota podium consists of Yaris, Yaris Cross and the new Aygo X, now offered exclusively in a full hybrid version. In the first two months of the year, the Aygo X was confirmed as the best-selling model for Toyota, entering the top five best-sellers overall and placing third in the private channel. Since the beginning of the year, the new Aygo X Hybrid steadily maintains third place in the city car segment with a share of 16,3%, over 6 points more than last year. In the Premium market, which grew by about 8% in February, Lexus consolidates its position with 540 units and a share of 2,1% also in the cumulative total since the beginning of the year.
