Alonso has partially denied what Newey claimed, while admitting that the vibrations are unusual and it is unclear whether there could be long-term consequences. Lance Stroll used a chilling comparison to explain the sensations he feels inside the cockpit: “The vibrations? I wouldn’t know what to compare them to, I imagine it’s similar to receiving shocks on the electric chair. It’s a very annoying and harmful vibration for the engine, but also for us drivers inside the cockpit. In general, however, the car progressively loses pieces because of the vibrations”.
