Monegasque Dissatisfaction
Charles Leclerc was undoubtedly the most anticipated driver this weekend in Monte Carlo. Because the one in the Principality is his home GP and he knows every inch of the Monegasque track by heart, because a lifetime or almost lifetime renewal with Ferrari has just been announced, and because for everyone the SF-26 here will be the car to beat and could bring the first victory of the season.

Yet the two Friday sessions, which indeed saw a dominant Ferrari compared to the competition, did not convince Leclerc, quite the opposite. Despite the best time in FP1 and the second in FP2 behind teammate Lewis Hamilton the red #16 did not seem particularly enthusiastic in the traditional post-session interviews.
“It was quite a complicated day and we still have work to do – Leclerc declared – especially regarding the braking balance, but I love this track and it’s always nice to come back and race here. Tomorrow qualifying will be very competitive, and for this reason, I hope we can make a step forward to fight for pole position“.
