Both Aprilia riders agreed that Bagnaia had a missile on the straight, the Ducati was truly unstoppable on the straight. “You had sugar in the tank,” jokes Bezzecchi.

Bagnaia also explained that after being overtaken, by changing the map he also had problems with the dropper and that is why he immediately detached from the winner. Then at the end there was the need to contain the now proverbial ‘Ogura Tide’, with Martin telling Bagnaia: “I thought he was coming to get me too.”
