Still injured
It rains on the wet at BMW, once again dealing with one of its riders forced to raise the white flag due to an injury. At the Most weekend, where Miguel Oliveira was replaced by Michael van der Mark following Balaton Park’s bad crash, misfortune struck once again Danilo Petrucci.

The crash
The rider from Terni, who had already been forced not to take part in the Hungarian Race 2 due to the contact with Sofuoglu (which caused him a contusion on the left hip), had recovered in time for the Czech weekend. However, right on the first lap of Race 1, the former MotoGP rider fell badly after a violent highside, with the rescue teams intervening promptly on the track. Transported to the Medical Center on a stretcher, ‘Petrux’ was hospitalized for further checks, obviously not taking part in the two subsequent races.

The findings
As confirmed by BMW, the exams indeed found a fracture of the coccyx, as well as several contusions in the lumbar area, left hip, and pelvis. A weekend to forget for the world of two wheels, which after Petrucci’s bad crash also witnessed the two impressive accidents of Alex Marquez and Johann Zarco in the MotoGP Catalonia GP.
