Bagnaia and the fall in Barcelona
After the serious accident involving Alex Marquez during the Catalonia Grand Prix in Barcelona, the riders lined up again on the starting grid for a second start. But even here something went wrong and there was a three-rider crash, with Johann Zarco, Pecco Bagnaia and Luca Marini ending up in the gravel of the first corner of Montmelò.
The worst off was Zarco, who got stuck in Bagnaia’s bike which was rolling in the runoff area and carried him along, suffering a ligament injury to his knee and a small fracture at the base of the fibula.

Injury also for Pecco?
Pecco Bagnaia had revealed that he experienced dizziness after the third start due to a blow received at the cervical level, but after yesterday’s tests he explained that he has another physical problem that he will investigate once he returns to Italy.
“Maybe I will have to have my wrist checked again on Tuesday when I get home“, he explained to the MotoGP microphones, adding: “I feel that something is not in the correct position. We will try to do a lot of physiotherapy, do the right things and not overdo the training because it might be worse. The Mugello race is one of the most particular, similar to Austin in terms of strength, so we will have to be 100% ready”.
