The marriage between Tech3 and KTM continues
KTM and Tech3 will continue their collaboration in the coming seasons, continuing a relationship that began in 2019. This was just announced by the CEO of the French team Günther Steiner in a press conference at Montmeló.

The well-known financial problems of KTM had cast doubt on the Austrian manufacturer’s presence in the top class and, naturally, the collaboration with Tech3. Even after reassurances about KTM’s MotoGP program, the French team was uncertain and it is no secret that they had started talks with Honda.
Steiner’s words
“In the world of racing, the strongest collaborations are often those you already know perfectly. With KTM and Tech3 we are not starting from scratch,” commented Steiner. “Thanks to all the work done by Hervé Poncharal and the team in recent years, we have a solid base with KTM, and this gives us a real advantage as we approach a completely new era. For both parties, it is about building on what already works. This continuity puts us in the best position to adapt quickly and remain competitive when the new rules come into effect.”
Beirer’s words
“We are very pleased to continue our journey together with Tech3,” added KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer. “This year marks a new chapter for the team, in line with the growth of MotoGP. We have aligned our strategy and ambitions, and we look to the future with great enthusiasm to continue pushing and making a difference. A special thanks to Günther and Tech3 for their commitment and passion for this project. This dedication is a fundamental part of our strength. There is great trust from the parent company, together we look to 2027 and beyond with maximum focus and the goal of competing at the highest levels.”
The 2027 riders
No news, however, on the rider front, where Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini remain under contract also for 2027, but their stay is in doubt. Especially the Italian could leave, being requested by Gresini and Trackhouse.
