KTM recruits from Ducati
At the end of the Warm Up of the French Grand Prix, Sky Italia explained that the slot for Fabio Di Giannantonio has also been secured for 2027. The Roman rider has indeed chosen to accept the offer from KTM and will therefore become an official rider for the Austrian brand, pairing up with another future ex-Ducati rider like Alex Marquez.
The Italian rider, 27 years old, after five years with Borgo Panigale bikes – split between the Gresini team and VR46 – will change bikes and has opted for a bold and certainly rewarding choice.

Di Giannantonio at KTM and the others?
As reported by Sky Italia, a spot will therefore remain free within the VR46 team – equipped with Ducati bikes. It is natural to think that Valentino Rossi’s team could offer a seat to another Italian rider, such as Luca Marini or Nicolò Bulega, to join Fermin Aldeguer.
There is also news for Enea Bastianini, who might consider the Aprilia Trackhouse option, ready to compete with Gresini to secure the Romagna rider’s services.
At that point, Gresini could surprisingly welcome Joan Mir. More will be known in the coming weeks.
