Finally a test day for Martin
Jorge Martin remained far from the Aprilia trio that finished the test day in Jerez in the top three positions, but the 2024 world champion is still very satisfied with the work done.
Martinator was finally able to introduce components he hadn’t tried yet, unlike Marco Bezzecchi, and improved in all aspects, from braking to traction and corner entry. In the media scrum, Martin quantified the step forward made during the Jerez test day as two tenths real, an excellent path towards Le Mans, a track that the Aprilia rider particularly likes.

“Finally I had a test day – Martin’s words to Sky Sport – I’m making up for lost time in the Malaysia tests, I hadn’t been able to try many parts yet because it’s impossible during a race weekend. I found some confidence, some traction, we improved in braking, turning, acceleration. There’s nothing negative in what I tried, it’s all positive. You can’t ask for anything more“.
