Bagnaia, another zero in Jerez
Francesco Bagnaia‘s season is slow to take off: the optimism from the tests has so far been contradicted by the facts, which see the two-time MotoGP world champion only ninth in the standings.

The Jerez weekend would have been disastrous without the stroke of luck in the Sprint, with a downpour that shuffled the cards and allowed “Pecco” to secure second position; on Sunday, however, fate presented him with the bill with a problem at the front, to be attributed to the braking system. The technical issue, which forced Bagnaia to his second zero of the year, still needs to be understood by Ducati engineers, as admitted by team manager Davide Tardozzi.
Tardozzi’s words
“No, we haven’t understood it yet. We are analyzing it, because at first glance there was nothing wrong,” this was Tardozzi’s comment to Sky Sport MotoGP. “We need to understand and we will have to evaluate what happened, all the elements that needed to be taken have been taken, and they have been given to the proper authorities.”
In his immediate statements, Bagnaia complained about not being able to brake the bike: “It’s clear there was a technical issue at the front. At first, I could brake hard, and the pace wasn’t too bad, until this problem started to worsen. The further I went, the worse it got, until I couldn’t stop the bike anymore.”
