Consistency throughout the weekend
The ‘Beast’, with his final 8th place, was indeed the Austrian manufacturer’s rider who finished highest in the standings, all after starting from seventh position on the grid. However, it was a positive result for the sole representative of the Tech3 team, who is now focusing on further tests in Jerez and the next championship round in Le Mans: “It was a solid weekend for me – commented the rider from Rimini – I can be happy because we were competitive in every session, both in cold and hot conditions, and also with the wind in today’s race. To be honest, my expectations for the Grand Prix were a bit higher. I thought I would enter the top five, but after a few laps I felt a drop in front grip, so it was impossible to push further. However, we remained consistent until the end, and since Austin, we’ve made good progress; my main problem during the first two rounds of the season was the lack of grip on all wheels, but now the sensations are much better. Let’s keep it up!”
