KIA presents the Vision Meta Turismo concept in detail at Milan Design Week, marking the global debut of the proposal after its preview last December in Korea. The Italian event thus becomes the stage to showcase a futuristic interpretation of mobility, where design and technology do not merely coexist, but together build a new idea of travel. Vision Meta Turismo, in fact, combines dynamic driving performance with a “lounge” atmosphere, recalling the imagery of speed and elegance typical of the grand journeys of the 1960s.

KIA Vision Meta Turismo
At the heart of the proposal is a radical change in user experience. The concept aims to make the on-board presence more engaging, connecting interiors and digital systems in a fluid path between reality and advanced content. The lowered front enhances an evolved cabin architecture, with a beveled lower section and a black technical insert that houses functional components and emphasizes the vehicle’s sleek silhouette. The rear also contributes to this high-performance identity: soft, fluid curves develop into a truncated and sharp tail, with a trailing edge designed to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and stability at high speeds. The ultra-thin LED light signature extends the light line, wrapping around the rear corners and reinforcing the sensation of a low center of gravity.
Geometries and transparencies
The concept then plays with geometries and transparencies. The lines projecting upwards culminate in a large glass cover, through which the internal structure can be glimpsed, composed of thin elements that together convey lightness and solidity. Among the declared inspirations, the aeronautical world stands out: KIA designers have indeed based their work on jets, with a canard in the front position that recalls the logic of aerodynamic technical components and influences the allocation of elements such as the front headlight and rear camera. In the lower part of the front, a darkened area integrates technological components such as light projectors and cameras, enhancing the “X-shaped” headlight graphics and the effect of a sleek, almost suspended bodywork.

Interiors and modes
The cabin also completely reinterprets the concept of “seating” and interaction, thanks to a series of advanced digital technologies and a layout designed to optimize space. Vision Meta Turismo offers two different seat configurations: the driver’s seat is designed for maximum concentration and future-generation driving characteristics, with an ultra-thin cluster, a lightweight structure optimized for sporty driving, and a mesh fabric to promote air circulation; the passenger’s seat adopts similar materials and formal language but prioritizes a more relaxed and emotional experience, also thanks to a lounge-inspired seating. To complete the vision, the steering wheel is reinterpreted as an interface inspired by video game controllers, capable of activating three modes – Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer – to adapt digital enjoyment to the driving context and transform the control instrument into an emotional and immersive experience.
