Mercedes C-Class electric, elegant and tech interiors

Mercedes has unveiled the interior of the new electric C-Class two days before its debut. The Star brand is focusing entirely on an in-car experience that looks to the future without sacrificing absolute comfort. The heart of the project is a completely native electric architecture, designed to optimize space and usability. The visual protagonist is the large panoramic glass roof: more light, more air, more sense of spaciousness. The cabin is presented as a private refuge, almost an exclusive suite, where fluid forms and integrations of materials, colors, and digital solutions merge.

Inside, the perceived quality further raises the bar with premium materials and manufacturing details. Among the finishes, the new standard “Softtorino” leather effect stands out, while on the Nappa leather sports seats, the “Twisted Diamond” design enhances the craftsmanship with diamond patterns and contrasting stitching. The chromatic experience is articulated in three standard shades: deep black, warm beech brown, and stylish ivory beige. These are enriched by metallic elements with a technical-futuristic aesthetic: air vents, speaker grilles, handles, and controls become part of the aesthetic language.

The audio also contributes to the car’s identity: in the Burmester 3D surround system, the grilles are made of stainless steel and feature a horizontal line graphic with a three-dimensional relief, while decorative inserts can range from open-pore natural fiber to AMG carbon fiber. After the GLC, the new electric C-Class is the second car in the world with vegan-certified interiors, independently certified by The Vegan Society, with the Vegan Package including soft surface materials ranging from the seats to the headliner, door panels, and carpeting.

For long journeys, Mercedes has designed high-end seats with electric and memory adjustments, 4-way electropneumatic lumbar support, ventilation, and massage function, in addition to 4D sound. Completing the experience are MBUX Hyperscreen or MBUX Superscreen with visually impactful displays, ten customizable ambient styles, and a lighting system capable of transforming the cabin into an emotional “cocooning.” Finally, the ENERGIZING COMFORT programs combine with efficient climate control and technologies designed for on-board silence.
