Nissan’s 100% electric range is ready to be enriched with the new Juke. The Japanese automaker has unveiled the exterior design of its new battery-powered crossover. Along with this, it also shared the first technical details, while remaining silent regarding the interior and engine and battery specifications. The third generation of Nissan’s compact SUV made its debut at the Vision event in Japan.

Nissan Juke goes electric
In addition to unveiling the exterior lines of the new model, the Japanese company announced that the new electric Juke will be developed on the platform CMF-EV. Production will take place in Sunderland, UK, while the market launch is expected in the spring of 2027. Looking to the future, the new compact crossover will join Nissan’s zero-emission range in Europe, which includes the new Micra, the third-generation Leaf, the Ariya crossover, the Townstar commercial vehicle, and the new A-segment model.

Market launch in 2027
Returning to the Juke, Nissan also announced that it will feature Vehicle-to-Grid technology to support the integration of electric vehicles into the energy ecosystem. “Europe is fundamental to our electrification strategy, and we remain firmly committed to a fully electric future,” said Massimiliano Messina, President of Nissan AMIEO. And he concluded: “With a rapidly expanding range of electric vehicles, we are offering an increasingly broad and innovative choice in every segment, backed by our solid presence in terms of design, engineering, and production. This new generation of vehicles will accelerate our transition to zero-emission mobility.”
