The Red Bull crisis
In Formula 1, the long break period has begun, which will continue until the first weekend of May with the Miami Grand Prix, but the start of the championship has not been positive at all for a top team like Red Bull. The new French-Algerian Red Bull driver finished the last Japanese GP in 12th place, the same position he holds in the general standings. The 21-year-old also did not hold back negative comments after the Japanese weekend, focusing on the RB22 and the chassis: “We didn’t have a good pace – he explained – we expected it, but it was worse than the previous days of the weekend. It was truly undriveable, even dangerous. So it was complicated. We have no indications on how to make it faster. We have a good power unit. The engine is good, it’s just the chassis that is terrible, it’s slow in the corners“.

To this, Hadjar added further considerations on the problems encountered during the race with the battery: “I need to understand why that situation with the battery occurred so early. I was comfortable in eighth position. The plan was to fight with Pierre (Gasly), which we were doing, but everything vanished with the dead battery. At that point, you are simply helpless.”
