The third edition of TUTTO BENE Hillclimb concluded, taking place on Wednesday, September 9th on the curves of the Mottarone, in one of the most spectacular settings of Lake Maggiore. The private event by accreditation saw the participation of 85 selected cars – current models, classics, and restomods – which covered the nine kilometers of the private Borromea road, from the foothills to the summit. No stopwatch, no speed race: just driving in its most authentic form, under the claim slow down to go fast.
The formula, now recognizable, confirms itself as a third way between elegance contests, where design and authenticity mostly remain static, and motorsport, where performance tends to take the whole stage. Putting special cars in motion without exaggerating their dynamic qualities has given back to those behind the wheel and to those watching what makes the driving experience unique: the sound of the engine, the mechanical response, the bodywork design, the technical solution that each model carries with it.
From the 300 SLR to the Ferrari Luce
What made the lineup particularly rich were some absolutely outstanding presences. Above all the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, considered the most valuable car in the world, and the Bentley Speed 8, the prototype with which the British brand returned to victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2003. From contemporary motorsport came the BMW M3 Touring 24H, winner of the SPX class and fifth overall at the last 24 Hours of Nürburgring. On the design side, the Bertone Runabout, a 1969 prototype from which the Fiat X1/9 was born, and the Genesis X Skorpio Concept stood out. Great attention was also given to the Pagani Utopia and the Ferrari Luce, in its first dynamic outing in front of the public. On display, finally, the Maserati Eldorado, the single-seater that in 1958 first brought a commercial livery to a European track, along with the GT2 Stradale with the new Eldorado commemorative livery.

Alongside these icons, an international community of collectors, enthusiasts, influencers, industry protagonists, and car manufacturers. The crews came from Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and all over Europe: a clear sign that the event’s appeal has now crossed national borders. Along the route, about 2,000 spectators followed the passage of the cars in a setting that the territory helped make memorable.
Sponsors, ACI recognition, and safety
Among the main sponsors of the 2026 edition are Bentley, Genesis, BMW M, and Alpina. The event is recognized by ACI as an “Experimental Atypical Demonstration”: a definition that highlights the difficulty of fitting it into traditional categories. Created by Borromeo deSilva and the creative and media agency Race Service of Los Angeles, TUTTO BENE takes place every year on the private Borromea road made available by Kaleon – Terre Borromeo, with the collaboration of ACI and ACI VCO and the operational support of Motoring Attitude.
Safety remained the essential condition. With the road closed to traffic and monitored along the entire route, the cars ascended at regular intervals, without any timing reference. An adrenaline-filled event experienced in complete serenity. vb
