Bagnaia, endless crisis
The crisis of results, and above all of feeling with Ducati, for Francesco Bagnaia shows no sign of abating. The two-time MotoGP world champion finishes the Misano Practice in 19th position, ahead only of the two Pramac riders Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu.
In every corner, Bagnaia’s difficulties on the GP26 were obvious: the rear slid on entry, and as soon as he opened the throttle he risked the front closing. The Piedmontese appears disheartened, because these are problems he had in 2025, have returned for three GPs, and expose him again to embarrassment.
Bagnaia’s words
“The feeling is that my bike does some strange things, it’s not clear why more than anything else. It’s been three races where the engine braking is strange, it’s very difficult to understand the grip at the rear. I never had it this year, but now the bike is very nervous and hard to ride,” these are Bagnaia’s words to Sky Sport MotoGP. “I don’t feel differences in the changes and it’s a very difficult moment. I’m working and looking for a solution. I don’t know if there is one, but we’re trying.”

“I always start with the idea that it can go better, but for two years the situation hasn’t been easy. The difference with other riders is extremely clear, from braking to entry, from the line through the corner to the exit, but for some reason there is no way to replicate the functioning of the other bikes,” he added.
“I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried various setups, I’ve tried various settings, unfortunately there’s no way to make it work. And in these last three races we are very much in difficulty. Until Sachsenring, although I wasn’t 100% happy with the bike, we more or less managed to stay up front; but now it’s three races where I fall a lot, even today I took countless risks to go so slow and we don’t understand the direction to take,” Bagnaia concluded. He hopes at least to qualify for Q2 tomorrow and start from a more advanced position.
