Good morning and welcome back, dear readers of FormulaPassion.it. We are live from the press room of the brand new Madring to tell you about the first free practice of the F1 Spanish GP, which will start at 13:30 and end exactly one hour later. It will be a crucial first session for the drivers and teams: here, apart from the two Ferrari drivers on a filming day at the beginning of summer, no one has ever driven (except virtually, on the simulator). So, every available minute will be needed to get familiar with the challenges of the new Spanish GP circuit and understand how to set up the cars.
This is already, therefore, one of the hot topics of Friday’s free practice, because in fact we start from a blank sheet, with no indications or references, as always happens on a new circuit making its debut in Formula 1. Clearly, then, the eyes remain focused on Ferrari after what happened on track at Monza between Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton: will the Reds be able to take advantage of the slight competitive edge of having already put wheels on the Madring to forget the last, very difficult, weeks?
