Evans cannot stay calm

The Rally of Chile will represent the third to last round of the 2026 season, the second after the recent event in Paraguay and the last before the much-anticipated Rally of Sardinia. It is still unknown what will happen with the Rally of Saudi Arabia, the event that should close the world championship, but in the meantime the WRC can witness a title fight that has become increasingly open after the three consecutive wins of Sami Pajari.

The gaps

The Finnish driver has in fact reduced to 20 the points behind the leader of the championship Elfyn Evans, not counting another Toyota home driver like Oliver Solberg, who had convinced everyone in the first rally of the season in Monte Carlo only to then lose ground. The gap between the Swede and the Welshman is 41 points, in a Chilean stage where precisely Toyota could make history by winning its tenth manufacturers’ title, equaling the absolute record of Lancia.

The live broadcasts

Meanwhile, attention focuses on the tests scheduled from Friday to Sunday, in a weekend still full of events with the Spanish GP of F1 and the Misano MotoGP. In addition to the possibility to follow the entire program on RallyTV, Sky Sport will broadcast three special stages between Saturday and Sunday, as well as the power stage.
