The Nightmare of Monza
Not even a week has passed since the Italian Grand Prix, from the bitter disappointment of the Ferrari fans for Lewis Hamilton’s 6th place and from Charles Leclerc’s violent impact exiting the Alboreto corner that stunned the Monegasque driver. Amid all this, there was no shortage of controversy over what happened again between the two drivers in the early phase of the race, with Leclerc pushing the seven-time world champion into the gravel, but here too, as with all other teams, Monza is already part of the past.

Everyone in Spain
Also for the Rossa, despite the lingering bitterness, there is now a challenge awaiting all drivers on the newborn Madring circuit, built around the IFEMA exhibition center and home of the Spanish Grand Prix. A new track for everyone, but already ‘visited’ by the two Ferrari drivers this summer during a Filming Day. A day also remembered by Frédéric Vasseur, team principal of the Prancing Horse.

A simple presence that did not allow the drivers to properly test the track, but according to Vasseur the upcoming Madrid weekend will still provide a good chance to best forget the last weekend: “We have left Monza behind and are fully focused on Madrid and the opportunity that every new race weekend represents. Madring is a completely new challenge for Formula 1 and, even though Charles and Lewis had the chance to start getting to know the track during our July Filming Day, there will be a lot to learn for everyone from the first laps on Friday. The circuit has very different characteristics compared to the one we raced on last weekend and, on a new track, it will be particularly important to adapt quickly and make the most of every session. We have to approach the weekend one session at a time, focus on ourselves and work as a team to maximize the potential of both cars.”
