Lego remembers the F1 legend, Michael Schumacher

Lego celebrates F1 and the legend Michael Schumacher throughout the weekend of the 2026 Italian GP. The Danish company warms the hearts of Ferrari fans, racing enthusiasts, but also (and perhaps especially) the most famous and sought-after colored bricks in the world. And it is especially at the Arco della Pace in Piazza Sempione in Milan that the core of Lego activities takes place during the Monza GP weekend: here the creation of the collective work inspired by the Icons series set Ferrari F2004 and Michael Schumacher is underway. It is a large mosaic, 3 meters wide and 1.80 meters high, dedicated to the unforgettable German champion and made up of almost 85,000 bricks: a truly collective work, created piece by piece by visitors to the play area under the careful supervision of its creator, Riccardo Zangelmi.

A play area officially inaugurated on the evening of Thursday, September 3, in the presence of the famous voice of Radio Deejay, Linus, and the commentator of Sky Sport F1, Carlo Vanzini, who shared anecdotes and memories of the seven-time world champion and his era of victories achieved in the early 2000s with the Maranello team. The setup of the collective work at the Arco della Pace continues during the GP days, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, September 4, and from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, while on all three evenings, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Lego pays tribute to the F1 superstar with a suggestive video projected every half hour on three brick-shaped giant screens. A nice way to celebrate the 30 years since Michael Schumacher joined Ferrari, back in 1996.
