Bagnaia still not 100% at Aragón
In terms of physical condition, Francesco Bagnaia has not improved compared to Silverstone: the left hand, after surgery for compartment syndrome and carpal tunnel, is still swollen. “Pecco” however hopes to have a much more satisfying weekend at Aragón.

The reason for Bagnaia’s confidence lies in the layout of the track, much more stop&go, where the long leaning sections required by the British circuit disappear to make way for sharper corners. Corners that Ducati (and Marc Marquez) like much more than Aprilia.
Bagnaia’s words
“Unfortunately my hand is still quite swollen. Fortunately this is a track that turns more to the left and will therefore cause less discomfort,” he admitted to Sky Sport MotoGP. “Painkillers always help, I think there will be no problems.”
“In the end, we lack potential on tracks with long corners and where corner grip is needed. At Aragón, in my opinion, it will be different. We will be fast, the Ducatis will have an advantage over Aprilia and we will have to take advantage of it.”
At MotorLand Aragón, Bagnaia scored his first MotoGP win in 2021, when he beat Marc Marquez, who is practically unbeatable here with seven poles and seven wins in the top class. “Pecco” will try to use his feeling with the track to climb back up a standings that now sees him in eighth place, 97 points from the top.
