Here are the ADUO results, Ferrari over 4%
The FIA published this afternoon the results of the first two periods of the ADUO, the mechanism provided by the regulations that allows extra developments to Power Unit manufacturers with the least performing internal combustion engine (ICE). Ferrari‘s delay, as well as that of Audi and Honda, is over 4%, so the Maranello Scuderia can develop the engine twice in 2026 (the second upgrade will arrive in Monza) and another two times in 2027.

Regarding the first period, there had been a request for revision by Red Bull, indicated as the best engine manufacturer and therefore unable to develop its power unit: the Federation confirmed the results, and therefore Red Bull will not have engine-level developments. Mercedes has an ICE delay estimated between 2% and 4%, so it will have one “token” for 2026 and another for 2027. During the second data collection period, which lasted from the Monaco GP to the Hungarian GP, no further homologated updates were granted to their Power Unit.

“With the publication of the Period 2 results, we are confident that, given the quality of the data, the analysis is extremely robust, which gives us a high level of confidence in our conclusions. We must also respect the confidentiality and intellectual property of the teams and their power unit manufacturers in disclosing any details arising from the results.”
Teams benefiting from the system introduced this year will also be allowed an increase in the budget cap and bench tests. The third ADUO review period of 2026 will cover races from 12 to 18 (from the Dutch GP to the Mexico City GP).
