After the recent official confirmation of Enea Bastianini’s move to Trackhouse for the next season, with ‘La Bestia’ thus leaving Tech3, the same French team has announced the rider who will be part of their line-up from the next championship. Curiously, in this case too it will be an ‘azzurro’: Luca Marini.

The three-year period at HRC Honda ends
The 29-year-old, after three seasons spent at HRC Honda, will thus join Tech3 from 2027, in a world championship that will coincide with the introduction of new regulations in MotoGP and with the new phase of the partnership between the team and KTM. Awaiting his entry into the team at the end of this championship, Günther Steiner, CEO of Tech3, wanted to welcome his future rider: “Luca is a rider we have been closely following and we are very pleased to welcome him to Tech3 starting from 2027. He brings with him great experience, but also the right mentality and approach for what we are building here. 2027 will be a major turning point for MotoGP, so having a rider who can contribute to our progress in this new era will be crucial. Luca knows how to work at this level, whether it’s collaborating with engineers, developing the bike, or pushing to the limit in difficult circumstances. We are entering an exciting new chapter with KTM and we believe Luca has the speed, experience, and determination to help us achieve our goals.”

Tech3’s Team Manager, Nicolas Goyon, also enthusiastically commented on Marini’s entry into the team: “We are very happy that Luca is joining us from 2027. He has already proven he can compete at the highest levels and his MotoGP experience will be extremely valuable in this new chapter. He has a solid understanding of what is required both from a rider’s and a technical perspective and we are confident he will be an important part of our growth path with KTM.
