Hamilton against the Ferrari pit wall
Lewis Hamilton is a torrent against the Ferrari pit wall. During the Zandvoort GP, the seven-time world champion tried a one-stop strategy to try to shake things up, climbing from sixth position to the podium zone, but the Scuderia certainly did not make his comeback easy.

The strategy chosen for Hamilton proved at least interesting, because the Briton managed the soft tire very well in the first part of the race and showed great pace also on the hard tire. A pace that allowed him to catch up with teammate Charles Leclerc and George Russell.
On lap 41, Russell stopped for the second time, putting Leclerc in clean air with Hamilton right behind. The pit wall, even though the Monegasque was close to the stop, did not order Leclerc to let Hamilton pass, holding positions for two laps. Two laps in which both Leclerc (compared to Russell) and Hamilton behind his teammate lost time.

“I’m faster than Charles and I have better tires, let me pass,” Hamilton said on the radio once he caught Leclerc. “We’re losing time!,” he added on the first lap behind number 16.

“Great way to lose time guys, excellent job,” he added sarcastically once Leclerc returned to the pits.
Hamilton’s race is still very much open. The Englishman led the GP until lap 53, before being overtaken by Lando Norris and Kimi Antonelli. His fight is for third place: he is battling with George Russell.
