Ferrari, difficult seasons

With Charles Leclerc’s great success at Silverstone, Ferrari has reached the prestigious milestone of 250 wins in Formula 1, consolidating its lead in the special rankings (McLaren follows with 203, Mercedes has 138, and Red Bull 130).
But the last few seasons have been somewhat challenging for Maranello, which has not won the drivers’ championship since 2007 and the constructors’ championship since 2008.

The statistic of win percentage by decade

The Holiness account, very active on the statistical front on X, showed in recent hours a curious analysis of Scuderia Ferrari’s wins by decade.
What emerges is that since the decade starting in 2020, we are experiencing the worst Ferrari ever in terms of win percentage over the total number of Grands Prix.
There have been only 12 wins for the Prancing Horse out of a total of 140 GPs, just 8.5% of the total. Moreover, in 2020, 2021, and 2025 Ferrari finished the season without a single win.

Of course, there are three and a half years left until the end of the 2020-2029 decade, so Ferrari can still avoid this disgrace and can aim to match the 1980-1989 period, which ended with an 11.5% success rate.
Impressive is also the statistic related to the golden period of Michael Schumacher and the immediately following years: from 2000 to 2009 Ferrari won almost half of the Grands Prix held, a remarkable 85 out of 174 – 48.8%.
