Nürburgring goes crazy for Verstappen
Enthusiasm is sky-high at the Nürburgring for the arrival of Max Verstappen, who will race the 24 Hours this weekend on the iconic Nordschleife. The demand to see the Dutch superstar live was so high that for the first time in the race’s history the organizers had to limit the number of tickets for safety reasons, related to the limited capacity of parking lots and camper areas and traffic, especially on Saturday.

“We are naturally pleased with the huge success enjoyed by both long-time fans and newcomers, who literally overwhelmed us this year,” explained Walter Hornung, director of the 24 Hours, with words reported by Auto Motor und Sport. “At the same time, however, we are working closely with the Nürburgring and the authorities to ensure all visitors have an orderly and safe stay. For this reason, for the first time in over 50 years of the Nürburgring 24 Hours history, we had to limit the number of tickets.”
The organizers have already announced sold out for all the packages designed for the event. Tickets for single days are still available (but only Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, while entry to the circuit on Saturday alone is not possible). Those who go to the Nordschleife without a ticket will be turned away at the entrances.

To optimize traffic management, which is expected to be very difficult on Saturday, the organizers have recommended all fans to leave as early as possible, perhaps even Thursday or Friday by purchasing the few tickets available, and to travel with only one car.
