Starting the weekend like this is nice, but we’ll see tomorrow. Qualifying will be a completely different story. I don’t think Norris completed his lap… We’ll see tomorrow. Already from FP3, we’ll know more about the car, it will be easier to do a proper lap.”

Vasseur then explained the large gaps with the tire usage window: “Preserving the tires for the entire lap is difficult. If you start to lose, you lose a lot. But everyone will improve until qualifying, it’s always like that.”
Pressed by Lawrence Barretto on the possibility of fighting for pole position, Vasseur smiled: “What can I say? Maybe!”. And he concluded with his typical laugh.
