The cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races in April has pushed Formula 1 teams to review their plans regarding the development of the 2026 single-seaters. The full month of break between Suzuka and the subsequent Miami race in the first week of May will obviously guarantee more development work in the factory, with direct consequences on the cars we will see in the first American stage of the season.

At Ferrari the first major update package had been scheduled for the fourth round of the championship, namely the Bahrain Grand Prix – originally planned for April 12. The work at Maranello now has a new date circled in red on the calendar, May 3, for the Miami race, for which there is concrete hope of bringing forward parts initially planned for the following weeks, with the aim of bringing ‘a package and a half’ of developments to the track, as stated in Shanghai by team principal Frederic Vasseur.

Monza chosen for the Ferrari filming day

Colleagues from AutoRacer.it have revealed that Ferrari – to validate these updates – has chosen to carry out one of the filming days granted by the Federation at Monza, with a maximum distance of 200 km.
The choice of the track that hosts the Italian Grand Prix is not accidental and seems ideal for deepening the use of the power unit and the functioning of the electrical part, between battery charging and energy management.
