Lawrence Stroll’s team already raised the white flag in Bahrain on the last day of testing, making it official that Lance Stroll would cover few kilometers due to the few spare parts remaining available after all the technical K.O.s of the Honda power unit.
From Japan, they admitted that the main problem is vibrations that affect the integrity of the battery, and at the moment there is not even an indicative date for the resolution of these problems, for which Andy Cowell has been sent to Japan to work side by side with the Japanese technicians.

According to what was reported by the Italian version of the publication motorsport.com, Aston Martin will be in Australia simply because the penalties to be paid in case of absence are unsustainable. The British team could cover few kilometers, just punching the clock and making an appearance that would honor the Concorde Agreement, thus avoiding the consequences of an absence that, in terms of image and competitiveness, would be more than advisable, but this path does not seem feasible.
